" home an insurance liability are aluminium wiring, lead pipes and shingle roofing."

Shingle roofs a liability? Really? Has a subdivision house been built in the last umpteen years without shingle roofs? Do new-home buyers have a choice of roofing materials? Aluminum wiring isn't an issue unless a homeowner mismatches outlets and switches intended for copper conduit. No doubt the Electrical workers union would smile broadly if the provincial governments were to mandate re-wiring homes from aluminium to copper.

Real estate reminds me of a giant whale being a real estate agent for many years or what ever we are called now, the barnacles on this animal are growing huge every thing from government or any part of any outfit want's a piece of it, is unbelievable the changes are
just huge and your last article from the shingles on the roof the wiring all of it, and then after all the educations from the boards every 2 years all the seminars all that! the industry has gone down why is that?????? somewhere a step was missed to make us true professionals
so we are a target for low commission outfits and every tom dick and harry and all the barnacles on that giant whale called real estate if we do not watch out we will become that animal that is an endangered species.

Shingles a liability? What a joke. How many properties, new or old, are not roofed with shingles? It appears someone wants to start a new business on roofing materials. Give citizens a break. If care is not taken, very soon some of our law makers will buy into it and lesgislate against having shingles on our roofs. Any insurance or other business that advocates against shingles should be made to fund the replacement material. Hmm! how about bitumen on our roads being labelled a liability? Another ridiculous talk that borders on absurdity.
