With interest rates set to rise and buyers increasingly concerned with the market’s supposed overvaluation, Canada’s housing sector might be in for a slow 2015, but could that change actually be good for business?

When we as real estate agents / industry members find ourselves in a hot seller's market, the general public does not see or appreciate our value, often requesting that we reduce our commission. They simply see our work as throwing up a for sale sign & waiting for an offer to come through so why pay us? They can buy a For Sale By Owner sign at the Dollar Store & do it themselves. As the market slows, becomes more balanced or even tilts towards a buyer's market, vendors begin to realize the amount of work we as professionals put into our business, especially those of us who do it well & have lasted in this crazy business that we love for more than 20 years.
