Lighter Side: Pop star’s childhood home for sale

Agents can find the perfect property for tweenage clients in a Stratford, Ont., bungalow, though young buyers will likely not care about the whirlpool tub, backyard deck, or attached garage.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home, which is currently listed for $279,000, was once occupied by Stratford’s own pop sensation, Justin Bieber. In fact, his Toronto Maple Leafs-themed bedroom is still intact.

Cue uncontrollable screaming.

Surprisingly, the open house was attended by serious buyers – not obsessed fans – though a local woman did bring three Brazilian exchange students in her care to the property to show them Bieber’s former home.

“It was so sweet because they were squealing when they saw the bedroom,” listing agent Maria Walsh said. “It was a normal open house, but it’s probably my last open house.”

The teen idol lived with his grandparents in the home while his mother saved money for a house of their own. His grandparents, Bruce and Diane Dale, allegedly moved out of the Willow Street house when Bieber bought them a larger home.
