Mortgage professionals help put kids on bikes across Canada

by Steve Randall on 14 Dec 2018

Mortgage professionals across Canada have helped Dominion Lending Centres’ major annual philanthropic campaign to another successful year.

Bikes for Kids will put smiles on the faces of hundreds of kids throughout the country after generous donors paid for more than 500 bikes. Since its inception five years ago, the campaign has raised more than 7,000 bikes, helmets, and locks.

"A special thanks to our network of more than 2,700 mortgage professionals and our amazing industry partners for all their donations. Without your support, we could not put smiles on the faces of all these kids every year," said Gary Mauris, President and CEO of Dominion Lending Centres.

The national campaign came to a close at the annual Christmas Wish Breakfast at Vancouver's Pan Pacific Hotel and there were celebration events across the country in early December.

The campaign was supported by partners like Canadian Tire, AMJ Campbell, CORUS Entertainment and Runners Crafted Bikes and the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, ensuring that bicycles will be delivered to children in need in time for Christmas morning.
