Taylor Swift a Realtor’s worst nightmare?

Table of Contents

How could having Taylor Swift rent your client’s property be bad for business? Here’s how.

The pop star rented out the historic Woolworth Mansion on New York’s Long Island last year to film the video for her hit song ‘Blank Space’. But the track’s lyrics – “So it's gonna be forever / Or it's gonna go down in flames” – proved that life really does imitate art.

The mansion was seriously damaged in a fire earlier this year.

The estate was once home to businessman F. W. Woolworth, who built the property in 1916 for $9 million. He rebuilt the property later that year after it was destroyed by – you guessed it – a fire.

It was restored in 2010 and is currently a private residence.

See the mansion in its fire-free glory in Swift’s music video, below.
