Anyone in the real estate field is acutely aware of the changing conditions in markets across the country.
With over 30 years in the business, Faisal Susiwala didn’t see 2018, with its tightened lending guidelines and anxious consumers, as a challenge. It was an opportunity to provide even better service. “We had – and still have – to find alternate financing options, like co-signors and credit unions who are not subject to the same regulations as the banks. Offering buyers alternatives is the key to moving your business forward,” he says.
Susiwala, who sold over 220 homes in 2018 without the help of a team, stepped away from newspaper advertising last year. But he says agents still need to find ways to get their faces out there. “When [people] think "real estate", your name should pop into their head. Invest in your branding and build that up.”
