One of them, Pembroke, Ontario’s Ryan Pattison, managed to turn that challenge into both a Royal LePage Diamond award and Award of Excellence last year. “Our market is oversupplied and properties spend longer on the market. Sellers get anxious and frustrated and require guidance – and an agent that will properly manage expectations,” says Pattison.
Operating near the Petawawa support base has given Pattison the opportunity to deal with one of the country’s most important niche clienteles. “A large portion of my market is military personnel transferring to and from Garrison Petawawa, so to be able to help the people that give so much to this country is endlessly rewarding,” he says.
